Jabil is seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Unit Director to lead a portfolio focused on server racks, networking racks, and data center infrastructure enclosures, supporting hyperscale, enterprise, and cloud customers. This role will own end-to-end business performance across commercial management, manufacturing operations, and customer programs, driving scalable growth, operational excellence, and strong customer engagement. The ideal candidate brings deep experience across rack integration, server/data center hardware, sheet metal/mechanical manufacturing, and supply chain execution, combined with strong commercial acumen and leadership capability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10–12+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, EMS, or data center infrastructure.
  • Strong experience in server racks, networking racks, chassis, or mechanical assemblies manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of P&L ownership, pricing strategy, and margin management.
  • Demonstrated success managing customer-facing programs in a global manufacturing environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen including contract negotiation and business development.
  • Deep understanding of: Mechanical manufacturing (sheet metal, fabrication, assembly)
  • Rack integration and system-level build
  • Supply chain and sourcing strategies
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong communication, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting hyperscale, cloud, or networking OEMs.
  • Knowledge of data center rack standards, power distribution, cooling solutions, and cable management.
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing scale-up or new site launches.
  • Familiarity with global supply chain and multi-site manufacturing operations.
  • Lean / Six Sigma or other operational excellence methodologies experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead overall strategy, execution, and financial performance for server rack and networking rack programs, including integrated rack solutions for hyperscale and enterprise customers.
  • Define growth roadmap across rack integration, mechanical assemblies, and full system solutions aligned to data center market demand.
  • Own full P&L accountability including revenue growth, margin expansion, pricing strategy, cost optimization, and forecast accuracy.
  • Drive disciplined financial management across quoting, capital investments, and cost structure.
  • Build and manage senior-level relationships with hyperscale, cloud, and networking customers.
  • Act as the primary commercial leader for key accounts, ensuring alignment on roadmaps, delivery, and value creation.
  • Lead RFQs, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations for rack solutions including SLAs, change management, and long-term agreements.
  • Drive profitable wins through competitive positioning and differentiated manufacturing capabilities.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to deliver high-quality rack manufacturing and integration (sheet metal, assembly, cable management, thermal solutions).
  • Ensure execution excellence across production, delivery, cost, and quality metrics.
  • Oversee scaling of manufacturing for high-volume rack builds and complex configurations.
  • Lead new program launches, customer onboarding, and ramp of new rack designs and configurations.
  • Ensure seamless NPI-to-production transition for complex infrastructure products.
  • Track industry trends in data center infrastructure, racks, networking hardware, and AI/compute platforms.
  • Align business strategy to evolving customer architectures (liquid cooling, high-density racks, modular deployments).
  • Drive structured escalation processes to resolve delivery, quality, and supply chain challenges.
  • Ensure business continuity and strong customer satisfaction.
  • Build and lead a high-performing cross-functional team across program management, commercial, and operations.
  • Drive talent development, succession planning, and leadership capability within the organization.
  • Champion operational excellence through lean manufacturing, cost productivity, and process standardization.
  • Drive improvements in cycle time, inventory turns, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Present business performance, risks, and strategy in internal leadership reviews and customer forums.
  • Provide clear, data-driven insights to support decision-making.
