As a Business Trainee Student, you’ll embark on a dynamic learning journey, gaining hands-on experience and valuable insights into various aspects of the business world. This role is designed for college students eager to launch their careers, offering exposure to multiple teams across Daktronics while fostering professional growth and development. Rotation experiences vary for each student, offering exposure to different teams based on individual interests and business needs. The duration of each rotation may also differ, providing flexibility and a personalized learning experience.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Business, Consumer Behavior, Economics, Entrepreneurial Studies, or a closely related field.
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Approximately 15 hours per week during the academic year (maximum of 20 hours).
  • Up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
  • Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
  • Reliable and capable of working independently while maintaining productivity in a remote environment.
  • Eager to learn and contribute to new projects, including the use of unfamiliar software and tools.
  • Adaptable to shifting priorities and evolving responsibilities.
  • Proficient in general computer use, including accurate keyboarding skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Daktronics does not sponsor, renew, or extend immigration visas for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Student registered in at least 12 credits.
  • In their sophomore or junior year of school.
  • Strong academic performers.
  • GPA of 3.5 and above may be eligible for a $500 Academic Excellence Reward for each spring and fall semester completed while employed.
  • Preference is given to candidates residing near our corporate headquarters in Brookings, South Dakota.

Responsibilities

  • Gain hands-on experience and valuable insights into various aspects of the business world.

  • Participate in rotation experiences in areas such as Sales Administration, Sales Coordination, Quote and Order Specialist, Project Coordination, Daktronics Sports Marketing, and Trade Shows & Events.
