This pivotal role is responsible for leading the development, integration, and modernization of internal tools that support data center project delivery. The Business Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing, optimizing, and supporting all enterprise business systems used across Professional Services. This role ensures that all systems operate efficiently, integrate properly, and support Align’s strategic goals. 1. This role actively gathers requirements, analyzes workflows, and translates business needs into system solutions Meet with business leaders to gather process requirements. Document current-state and future-state workflows. Translate operational needs into system configurations or enhancements. Write functional requirement documents (FRDs) and user stories. Validate data accuracy and reporting logic. Conduct root cause analysis on system or process issues. 2. The Business Systems Manager leads internal system initiatives from planning through implementation. Develop project plans for system upgrades, integrations, or new implementations. Define scope, timeline, milestones, and deliverables. Coordinate internal stakeholders and external vendors. Manage testing cycles (UAT planning and execution). Track risks, issues, and mitigation strategies. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Lead change management and rollout communications. 3. This individual is the hands-on owner of system configuration, security, and optimization. Configure workflows, validation rules, and automation. Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls. Maintain data integrity and system hygiene. Troubleshoot system errors and user-reported issues. Oversee sandbox environments and testing. Manage system updates and release notes. Maintain integrations between ERP, and Data Center project systems. Monitor system performance and adoption metrics.
