About the position
Box is seeking an experienced Business Systems Engineer to support the development of key Finance systems. The role involves delivering best-in-class Financial systems implementation, collaborating with business system leaders and the Enterprise Systems team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills and will be responsible for researching and resolving issues to ensure optimal solutions for financial/business systems. This individual will be a key member of a lean and high-impact IT organization focused on customer satisfaction and superior execution.
Responsibilities
- Deliver best-in-class Financial systems implementation to internal teams at Box
- Visualize, architect, adapt, prioritize, and effectively execute against roadmap and quarterly system related deliverables
- Collaborate with business system leaders and Enterprise Systems team
- Research and resolve issues and ensure optimal solutions for financial/business systems
- Possess exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Interact with all levels of organizations
- Design and deep dive on complex solutions, platforms, and interface design
- Educate more technical staff on underlying business principles
- Understand and apply key business and finance processes
- Lead teams in iterative product development using Agile principles
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency
- Ensure area portfolio delivery in terms of priority, schedule, scope, and quality
- Own and be accountable for Finance and Business systems implementation
- Support end users for compliance-based system requests
- Share best practices and make recommendations for enhancements or change based on roadmap
- Build financial reports to provide analysis on key performance indicators
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, FP&A, Accounting or related field
- Have 5+ years of experience in ERP, Financial Systems development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, FP&A, Accounting or related field
- 5+ years experience in ERP, Financial Systems development
- Strong technical foundation and ability to design and deep dive on complex solutions
- Good understanding and application of key business and finance processes
- Experience leading teams in iterative product development using Agile principles
- Ability to partner with business engagement team and executives to identify process improvement opportunities
- Overall ownership and accountability for Finance and Business systems implementation
- Support end users for compliance based system requests
- Ability to build financial reports for management analysis
