About The Position

BHE GT&S has an exciting opportunity as a Business Systems Analyst 1/2/3/Sr at our Headquarters in Richmond, VA.

Requirements

  • 0-2+ years directly related experience (BSA 1)
  • 3+ years directly related experience (BSA 2)
  • 5+ years directly related experience (BSA 3)
  • 7 years' directly-related experience (Sr. BSA)
  • Demonstrated competency in verbal communications, written communications, and interpersonal understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in effecting positive changes for business users by identifying opportunities for improvement that deliver value to the organization.
  • Analyzes business and user needs by getting to the root of the problem with research and fact-finding, documents business requirements, and recommends system logic modifications as necessary.
  • Works with a business unit on specific project assignments.
  • Creates, maintains, and executes test plans based on business requirements.
  • Identifies, logs, and tracks defects and performs root-cause analysis when needed.
  • Identifies test cases suitable for automation and maintains automation scripts.
  • Develops, reviews and enhances automation frameworks using open-source automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, and languages like Java and TypeScript.
  • Performs functional application maintenance.
  • Analyzes and resolves application and system issues.
  • Recommends and implements corrective and enhancement modifications, to accommodate customer and business requirements.
  • Provides expertise to other departmental personnel and users.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to other business systems analysts within the project or group.
  • Articulates the assignment progress and raises any concerns.
  • Works with other business systems analysts, along with leadership, to organize, plan, and execute task assignments to meet a schedule.
