The Business Systems Analyst serves as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to assigned business areas within Hampton Lumber. By developing a deep understanding of business processes, objectives, challenges, priorities, and long-term goals, this role helps business leaders identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce friction, and achieve desired outcomes through the effective use of business systems and technology solutions. Operating at the intersection of business and technology, the Business Systems Analyst is not a technical development role, but rather a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT. The successful candidate maintains a strong understanding of Hampton's technology capabilities and digital strategy while serving as the voice of the business throughout the solution lifecycle. Working closely with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams, the Business Systems Analyst ensures technology initiatives are aligned with business priorities and deliver meaningful business value. Success in this role requires curiosity, empathy, business acumen, strong relationship-building skills, and a genuine desire to understand how the business operates. The Business Systems Analyst develops trusted relationships with business leaders, stakeholders, and end users, taking an empathy-based approach to understanding needs, challenges, and opportunities. This role requires periodic travel to office, manufacturing, operational, and field locations as needed to build and maintain business relationships, gain firsthand knowledge of business processes, and support projects and initiatives across the organization. This position reports to the Business Systems Manager and works closely with business leaders, subject matter experts, vendors, technical teams, and project stakeholders throughout Hampton Lumber.
