About The Position

The business systems analyst 1/2/3 is responsible for functional application maintenance, analyzing and resolving application/system issues and recommending and implementing corrective and enhancement modifications to accommodate customer and business requirements.

Requirements

• 0-2+ years directly related experience (BSA 1)
• 3+ years directly related experience (BSA 2)
• 5+ years directly related experience (BSA 3)
• Demonstrated competency in verbal communications, written communications, and interpersonal understanding.
• Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust.
• Ability to establish and maintain confidence in the Information Technology's teams' knowledge of, and concern for, the customer's business needs.

• Excellent understanding of business systems and industry requirements (BSA 3).
• IT experience in business systems analysis, in a large-scale environment, across multiple hardware and software platforms, or business unit experience that includes working closely with IT in the development and implementation of large-scale systems (BSA 3).
• Demonstrated competency in presentation communications (BSA 3).
• Ability to work with all levels of employees, and to influence and impact others (BSA 3).
• Experience in developing others (BSA 3).
• Demonstrated ability to achieve results through others (BSA 2 & 3).
• Ability to develop programs and conduct training (BSA 3).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently (BSA 3).

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with frameworks like React or Next.js (BSA 2 & 3).

Responsibilities

• Assists in effecting positive changes for business users by identifying opportunities for improvement that deliver value to the organization.
• Analyzes business and user needs by getting to the root of the problem with research and fact-finding, documents business requirements, and recommends system logic modifications as necessary.
• Works with a business unit on specific project assignments.
• Creates, maintains, and executes test plans based on business requirements.
• Identifies, logs, and tracks defects.
• Performs root-cause analysis when needed.
• Identifies test cases suitable for automation and maintains automation scripts.
• Develops, reviews and enhances automation frameworks using open-source automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, and languages like Java and TypeScript.
• Guides and advises less experienced Business Systems Analysts.
