About The Position

CGI is seeking a Business Systems Analyst / Product Owner in the banking domain, that will be responsible for defining Stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the Features or components for the team. This team is highly-skilled, dynamic, and supportive of one another – great team to work with. The projects are fast paced, use new and innovative technologies or methodologies to build new products or for new initiatives.

Requirements

  • Over 5+ years of experience as Business Systems Analyst.
  • 2+ years of experience in Digital API portals, API Enablement initiatives
  • Build strong dependency relationships
  • Understand architecture across dependency applications
  • Interpret requirements to technical needs
  • Do technical analysis to determine if systems will execute the functions noted by business requirements
  • Act as the PO when needed and be able to also direct the tech team to ensure they are meeting the requirements
  • Experience in research, analysis, End to end customer mapping.
  • Experience working in Agile and /or Scrum development.
  • Experience working in banking domain with basic knowledge of system architecture and application portfolio.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferable working experience in integration based projects.

Responsibilities

  • Participate as a member of the agile squad with a focus on User Story generation, business analysis, testing and validation.
  • Serve as the primary source of external information for the Scrum teams, offering clear definitions of the targeted capability, the intended value to the customer, and functional/non-functional requirements framing the scope of the capability – independent of implementation.
  • Play a leadership role in the Scrum team to ensure that capabilities are in-scope, on-time, and of high quality, directing or participating in all team ceremonies including stand-ups, planning, review and retrospectives.
  • Use case development, analysis, and delivery leadership in support of multiple backlogs and work streams.
  • Translate product directives into backlog items, effectively representing customer needs.
  • Author, refine and approve backlog items, with clearly articulated acceptance criteria.
  • Manage backlog contents and priority, ensuring sufficient depth of groomed items for development consumption and commitment.
  • Document intended product behavior and user experience in sufficient detail for downstream activities.
  • Work closely with development team on implementation issues.
  • Facilitate successful delivery for assigned releases - Ensure internal IT and business needs are clearly identified, designed, and constructed to meet quality standards.
