The Business Analyst serves as the primary liaison between UW-Oshkosh functional offices and the UW System PeopleSoft development team, ensuring that institutional business needs are clearly understood, documented, and effectively addressed. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the operational integrity of the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions student information system by combining knowledge of university business processes with the technical communication skills necessary to bridge functional and development teams. The Business Analyst partners with staff in key functional areas including the Registrar, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and Admissions to support day-to-day PeopleSoft operations, coordinate system updates, and manage the lifecycle of development requests. The position requires a strong understanding of higher education administrative processes, experience with enterprise systems, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable documentation for technical teams. This role is responsible for preparing functional staff for PeopleSoft updates and PUM releases, troubleshooting issues related to system workflows and third-party integrations, authoring design documents for new development requests, and coordinating unit and system testing efforts. The Business Analyst also serves as a first point of contact for functional users experiencing system issues, providing triage and escalation support before engaging the development team.
