Chrome HeartsLos Angeles, CA
$100,000 - $125,000Onsite

About The Position

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst II to own our retail technology domain. This role is part of a new Retail Engineering team reporting directly to the CIO, focused on bringing retail systems expertise in-house. The individual will partner with the CIO and a developer to support, improve, and evolve the retail technology ecosystem, including POS systems, inventory management, e-commerce integration, and related business processes. Responsibilities include understanding retail operations needs, designing solutions, testing, troubleshooting, documenting, and training end users. This is a hands-on role with ownership of solutions, focusing on long-term maintenance and improvement. We are looking for a sharp, curious, and resourceful individual excited to grow with a new team and make systems work effectively in a real-world environment.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years working with retail or commerce systems in a hands-on capacity—supporting, configuring, implementing, or administering retail business applications
  • Direct experience on the customer/operator side of retail systems (not exclusively consulting or implementation-partner experience); you’ve lived with the systems you supported and owned the outcomes
  • Solid understanding of core retail operations: POS workflows, inventory management, pricing and promotions, order management, and customer data
  • Experience working through system issues end-to-end: from initial report through diagnosis, resolution, and root-cause follow-up
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills—you can break down ambiguous problems, ask the right questions, and drive toward practical solutions
  • Clear written and verbal communication; able to translate between business language and technical concepts
  • Business process analysis, modeling, and documentation
  • System configuration and administration in retail or ERP platforms
  • Testing methodology including UAT planning, test case development, and defect tracking
  • Basic SQL and data analysis for troubleshooting and reporting
  • Familiarity with integration patterns and API concepts

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce, Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, or legacy AX Retail
  • Luxury retail or fashion industry experience
  • Multi-channel retail experience spanning brick-and-mortar and e-commerce
  • Exposure to system integrations, APIs, or data flows between retail and adjacent systems (ERP, e-commerce, accounting)
  • Familiarity with SQL or reporting tools for ad hoc data analysis
  • Prior experience in a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, or Systems Administrator role (valued but not required if other experience is strong)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary IT point of contact for retail operations across all store locations and e-commerce, building trusted relationships with business stakeholders
  • Gather and analyze business requirements from retail teams; translate needs into functional specifications and system designs in partnership with the development team
  • Evaluate solution options within existing platforms and recommend approaches that balance business needs with technical feasibility
  • Own day-to-day support and configuration of the retail technology stack: POS, inventory management, pricing, customer data, and omnichannel integrations
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex retail system issues that impact store operations
  • Manage system changes through testing, UAT coordination, and controlled rollouts
  • Create and maintain functional documentation: process flows, configuration guides, and runbooks
  • Develop and deliver training for retail operations teams on system capabilities and new features
  • Drive user adoption and ensure retail teams can effectively leverage their technology
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement in retail workflows
  • Design and implement KPIs and reporting that support retail decision-making
  • Stay current on retail technology trends and bring forward ideas that fit our business
