About The Position

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support Finance and Legal process automation within the Automation Department. This role focuses on analyzing, designing, and enabling compliance-grade, audit-ready automation across finance, legal, and adjacent revenue workflows using n8n and Workato. The ideal candidate brings strong experience working with Finance and Legal stakeholders, understands financial controls, contract workflows, approvals, and regulatory requirements, and can translate complex business rules into scalable automation and system integration requirements. This role partners closely with Finance, Legal, Revenue Operations, IT, and Automation Engineering teams to ensure automation delivers efficiency without compromising accuracy, compliance, or governance.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Functional Analyst.
  • Strong experience supporting Finance and/or Legal business processes.
  • Hands-on experience with n8n and/or Workato.
  • Solid understanding of: Financial approvals and controls, Contract lifecycle processes, Compliance and audit considerations.
  • Experience translating regulatory or policy-driven requirements into automation and system logic.
  • Familiarity with API-based integrations and event-driven workflows.
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery models.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP-centric environments.
  • Exposure to Revenue, Billing, or Quote-to-Cash processes.
  • Experience in regulated or compliance-heavy industries.
  • Background supporting internal or external audit activities.
  • Certifications in Business Analysis, Automation platforms, or Finance systems.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and document current-state and future-state workflows across: Invoicing and billing approvals, Contract review, execution, and amendments, Revenue recognition and financial close dependencies, Compliance, audit, and regulatory checkpoints.
  • Identify manual steps, control gaps, and automation opportunities within Finance and Legal operations.
  • Translate business policies into clear, system-ready functional requirements.
  • Design Finance and Legal automations using: n8n (primary), Workato (secondary).
  • Define integration requirements across systems such as: ERP and financial systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Workday Financials), Billing and invoicing platforms, CRM and CPQ systems, CLM tools (DocuSign, Conga, Adobe Sign).
  • Ensure automations support: Approval hierarchies and segregation of duties, Audit trails and traceability, Policy enforcement and exception handling.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Finance, Legal, and Automation Engineering.
  • Facilitate requirements workshops and working sessions with: Accounting & Finance teams, Legal & Compliance teams, Revenue Operations, Security and IT stakeholders.
  • Support automation intake, prioritization, and roadmap planning.
  • Produce and maintain: Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional specifications, Process flows and system diagrams, User stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Support UAT planning, execution, and sign-off, ensuring Finance and Legal requirements are fully validated.
  • Validate automation outputs against internal controls, compliance rules, and audit expectations.
  • Support post-go-live stabilization and continuous improvement.
