About The Position

The Business Systems Analyst 1 assists with the collection of data and provides analysis to support the development of Identity and Access Management (IAM) technology plans and strategies to enhance overall performance and increase efficiencies. The Business Systems Analyst 1 - Central analyzes established Identity and Access operations, systems, methods, practices, and procedures to evaluate their effectiveness and ultimately make recommendations for new IAM processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required.
  • Learning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using Microsoft o365 suite. Familiar with Identity Platforms, Microsoft AD/Entra, and relevant computer applications.
  • Communication: Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze IAM systems reports, recommend and apply necessary updates.
  • Conducts research for IAM best practice models and benchmarking.
  • Maintains ongoing communication with managing staff.
  • Apply industrial and management engineering techniques such as process designs, optimization models, and chain management principles, to improve overall IAM systems.
  • Analyzes existing flow of people, activities, and materials, employee work methods and utilization, policies and procedures, forms, and computerized systems.
  • Improves productivity through the application of technology and human factors.
  • Collects data to measure baseline versus improvement before and after recommendations are implemented.
  • Prepares presentations of projects including data collected, methodology used, results obtained, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Designs improved work systems by revising IAM standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, Active Directory (AD) , Entra ID and other Identity platforms i.e. SailPoint, CyberArk is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools, including Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.
  • Experience with server administration is a plus.
  • Backup for day-to-day application support and completes service tickets.
  • Flexible to participate in on-call schedule rotation.
  • Adheres to University policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
