About The Position

STRS Ohio is seeking a Business Systems Analyst 1 to join the ITS Investment Services team. This role will help connect business needs with practical technology solutions for the Investments and Accounting user community. The position supports business teams through research, analysis, documentation, testing, training, and solution development to improve business management. The ideal candidate is a creative, analytical collaborator with experience in investments, investment accounting, or performance, and an interest in technology. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or information systems required.
  • Ability to collaborate extremely well with cross-functional teams and business partners required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment while meeting deadlines with minimal direct supervision required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with investments such as fixed income instruments, stocks, derivatives, real estate, or investment accounting or performance.
  • One to three years relevant analysis and programming experience preferred.
  • Understanding of relational databases and SQL query tools skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Investments and Accounting user community, under the guidance of senior analysts, to develop systems enhancements and resolve production problems.
  • Document specifications, requirements, user manuals, procedures, and other relevant information.
  • Provide test scripts and follow full testing methodology through development and implementation to ensure that quality goals are met.
  • Provide training for users on functionality of new systems and enhancement in releases of existing systems.
