In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the technology, systems, and tools that support our organization work effectively for our staff and mission. You will serve as the primary internal point of contact for technology questions, coordinate with external vendors, support staff technology needs, manage system access and documentation, provide training, and identify opportunities to improve systems and processes. This position is ideal for a resourceful, organized, and solutions-oriented professional who enjoys helping people, solving problems, coordinating moving pieces, and making systems work better.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting technology, business systems, software platforms, IT coordination, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience coordinating with technology vendors and external service providers.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, including OneDrive and SharePoint.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, organizational, and process improvement skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical users.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, track issues through resolution, and follow up consistently.
  • Ability to work independently while recognizing when an issue requires escalation or additional technical support.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation and system records.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when working with sensitive information.
  • Experience with spreadsheets, data collection, reporting, or data quality processes preferred.
  • Experience supporting website platforms or coordinating with web development/hosting vendors preferred.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit, healthcare, social services, child advocacy, or other mission-driven environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary internal point of contact for staff technology questions, troubleshooting needs, and technology-related issues.
  • Help staff navigate technology and software platforms, identify needs, resolve basic issues, and escalate more complex concerns to the appropriate vendor or technical resource.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors supporting networks, laptop and hardware needs, user access, phones, printers, enterprise server tools, hosted website services, and software platforms.
  • Track vendor tickets and issues through resolution, follow up as needed, and ensure impacted staff receive timely communication and support.
  • Support the organization's technology and software platforms and help evaluate system needs, software licensing, hardware replacement, security, accessibility, and compliance.
  • Maintain awareness of system functionality and identify opportunities to improve how technology supports staff and organizational operations.
  • Coordinate technology needs associated with employee onboarding and offboarding, including user access, Microsoft licenses, OneDrive, SharePoint, alarms, devices, and software access.
  • Ensure staff have the appropriate technology, access, and tools needed to successfully perform their roles.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of core technology systems, system owners, vendors, support contacts, licensing information, and escalation paths.
  • Ensure system ownership, vendor responsibilities, and support processes are documented and easy for staff and leadership to access.
  • Support staff with spreadsheet and reporting issues, data collection tools, and basic data quality needs.
  • Identify data discrepancies and opportunities to improve data collection, reporting, and organizational learning.
  • Identify recurring technology and systems-related pain points and recommend improvements that reduce delays, clarify ownership, improve communication, and strengthen vendor response times.
  • Look for opportunities to make systems and processes more efficient, consistent, and user-friendly.
  • Provide practical support and training to staff related to technology, software platforms, and organizational systems.
  • Coordinate annual staff training on AI and provide additional technology training as organizational needs arise.
  • Support day-to-day website needs and coordinate more technical website development, maintenance, and troubleshooting needs with the organization's hosting and web support vendors.
  • Partner with departments across the organization to understand technology and systems needs, provide practical support, and identify solutions.
  • Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical staff and help ensure technology supports-not creates barriers to-the work of serving children, women, and families.
  • Support appropriate technology security, access, and compliance practices.
  • Exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality when working with organizational systems, staff information, client-related information, and other sensitive data.
