Job Description: Leads diverse administrative functions usually for a very large, complex department or business unit. Functions may include: financial control/budgeting and consolidation, personnel processes, audit/compliance, premises, and coordination of certain projects, associate training, service quality, process improvement, business continuity, or communication. May consult with senior management to define and lead projects that encompass and impact many associates. Requires a thorough knowledge of the department or business unit's functional area or products. Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices. May provide workflow direction. Work as part of the GMC COO team to ensure the seamless delivery of the Global Markets Credit mandate. Coordinate and deliver lead on regional and global initiatives/project that impact multiple industries and products. Focal point of contact for internal stakeholders including Front Line Units and Enterprise Functions such as Audit, Risk and Technology. Lead initiatives help to increase efficiencies, best practices and controls across Global Markets Credit. Assist/lead credit officers through various processes including audit reviews, regulatory examinations, and operational initiatives (OpEx). Work with EMEA and Global COO on presenting business strategy, priorities/initiatives and ad-hoc topics to leadership groups within GMC and across the organization. Become an advisor to Credit Officers within the region on policy and procedural issues. Influence, develop and maintain successful relations with support partners across the Enterprise Reporting – BAU/thematic reports for internal projects, management updates and regulatory requests. Manage recurring routines impacting Global Markets Credit Assist with administrative deliverables (Floorplans, Headcount Planning, Readiness).

Requirements

  • Excellent Communications Skills – Ability to present complex and detailed information in a concise and precise way.
  • Good knowledge of M365 – Comfortable managing and interrogate large data sets (Pivot Tables, intermediate level functions such as lookups, index, Match).
  • Strong Powerpoint Skills – Ability to construct relevant dashboards/storyboards to inform stakeholders on projects as well as lead BAU routines.
  • Project management skills – ability to develop and execute project plans.
  • Truly comfortable in a fast-paced and change-oriented environment.
  • Flexible working manner.
  • Able to manage diverse workloads and prioritize accordingly.
  • Strong Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to analyze large data sets, identify trends, investigate exceptions, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

  • Process Improvement & Automation – Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and leverage technology, automation, and process redesign to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Business and Product Knowledge – Foundational understanding of Global Markets products and trading activities, particularly Credit, Rates, FX, Equities, and their associated risk profiles.
  • Strategic Thinking – Ability to understand broader business objectives and connect day-to-day activities with larger organizational priorities and risk management goals.
  • High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience of working in/or partnering alongside a controls or governance environment or currently operating in a similar COO capacity would be an advantage.
  • Experience with credit related processes preferred but not a mandatory requirement.
