About The Position

The Business Solutions Architect serves as a trusted advisor to prospective customers and partners by leading consultative sales engagements, understanding complex business and operational requirements, and designing tailored Gateway Ticketing Systems solutions. This role blends solution consulting, technical acumen, and relationship management to drive revenue, ensure successful handoffs to delivery teams, and create long-term customer value.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or demonstrable equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales or related industry.
  • Strong consultative selling and solution architecture skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience with CRM platforms and sales pipeline management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and remote demonstration tools.
  • Working knowledge of software systems, networks, hardware environments, and integrations.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and process improvement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.
  • Professional presence with customers and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery conversations to understand customer goals, challenges, and operational workflows.
  • Translate business requirements into tailored solutions leveraging Gateway’s software, hardware, and services portfolio.
  • Architect end-to-end solutions including software licensing, hardware, consumables, implementations, training, and professional services.
  • Demonstrate Galaxy product capabilities through virtual and in‑person presentations and demos.
  • Own and achieve individually assigned annual revenue targets.
  • Manage assigned prospect inquiries, trade show leads, and reseller opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline health, and opportunity documentation within the CRM.
  • Develop strategic account plans for key prospects and growth opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between prospects, Sales leadership, Project Management, and technical teams.
  • Ensure clean, complete deal handoffs including scope, assumptions, documentation, and customer profiles.
  • Provide timely updates to management on opportunity status, risks, and competitive intelligence.
  • Support customization and solution requests by following internal request and governance processes.
  • Prepare pricing, quotes, and proposals in alignment with internal approval and ranking processes.
  • Ensure all required sales documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Submit trip plans, expense estimates, and post-trip reports according to policy.
  • Continuously build deep product expertise through training and hands-on experience.
  • Complete all tasks and handle all situations in accordance with Gateway’s Core Values.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, or participating in professional organizations.
  • Communicate in a clear, concise and timely manner, including voicemail and email.
