About The Position

Farmers (Woodland Hills, CA) seeks a Business Solutions Analyst to partner with business teams to design and implement complex data and analytics-centric and value-added systems and solutions that enable business outcomes. Specific duties include: develops complex value-based analytics solutions for quality, business process functionality, or other strategic/data/analytic initiatives that are complex in nature (20%); collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and establish analytics requirements (10%); creates detailed documentation and business plans that address stakeholder needs (10%); liaises between IT, data science/R&D teams and Product Management for analytics models and data solutions (10%); develops and implements complex enterprise-wide data integration strategies that utilize various data- marts and data warehouse applications to enhance reporting (20%); continuously works across departments with a variety of stakeholders to develop and execute project plans, improve data platforms, dashboards, and reports to meet emerging and changing business demands and guidelines (10%); consults with minimal guidance on UAT, technical specifications, strategic planning, contract design, technical support, testing updates, and trainings (10%); and learns and uses new Microsoft Office Products, SQL, and other tools to extract data and build dashboards (10%). Option to work remotely.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Finance, or a closely related field of study, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Product Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar analyst position. In the alternative will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Finance, or a closely related field of study, plus 3 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Product Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar analyst position.
  • Must have 3 years of experience with each of the following: working in P&C insurance industry; coding in SQL including Tables, Window Functions, Case Statements, and Partition; working with Excel analytical tools, including pivot tables, charts, data validation, and what-if / scenario analyses; working with Excel data management tools, including data tables, linking across files, nested formulas, array formulas and data cleaning; working with Power BI Dashboards and metric builds.
