In support of the Business Manager, the Business Services Specialist provides administrative management of the daily business functions of the Department of Communication in the areas of finance, personnel, procurement, travel services and event coordination. Duties include but are not limited to: processing day-to-day financial transactions; processing payroll transactions; initiating international visa requests; procurement requests to include the departmental purchasing card; coordinating all faculty, staff, graduate student, and guest travel; maintain inventory database for equipment; event coordination; and serving as the departmental parking coordinator.
