About The Position

The Business Segment Controller is a part of the Corporate Finance Division and will directly report to the Director of Accounting Operations. This role directs the accounting activities for identified business segment(s) directly and through identified accounting staff. The Controller ensures that accounting controls are adequate and effective, and is responsible for ensuring that reconciliations are accurate, complete, and in compliance with US GAAP. This position acts as a collaborative business partner with identified business segment(s), strategically identifying and implementing opportunities to continuously improve controls and financial performance. Other duties are assigned as needed.

Requirements

10+ years of progressive accounting experience
Bachelor's Degree
Ability to multi-task effectively, be a self-starter, deliver to deadlines, handle stress with composure and professionalism, and move work forward with limited direction
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and an understanding of the concept of materiality (i.e., knows when information is relevant)
Ability to collaborate and foster teamwork
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely, and demonstrate confidence and competence in group meeting situations
Ability to use Microsoft Office software
