About The Position

Cable One and its family of brands are seeking a motivated individual to join their team as a Retention Business Account Representative (RBAR). This role focuses on retaining existing business customers who subscribe to voice and broadband services. Representatives will engage with small and medium-sized companies calling to disconnect their services, aiming to demonstrate the value Cable One offers, identify suitable services, and resolve current concerns. The position is ideal for someone looking for a sales opportunity within an organization dedicated to customer and associate satisfaction, offering a good work-life balance and an inclusive workplace.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be detailed oriented and a self-starter.
  • Ability to remain calm and patient in all situations, especially when dealing with frustrated customers.
  • Confidence to be persistent and professionally sell services after a customer declines an offer.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to find creative solutions to secure sales.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) preferred.
  • Experience in telecommunications is preferred.
  • Prior sales experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Use a variety of problem-solving techniques to retain customers who call to reduce or cancel their services.
  • Connect with current customers and help them renew their contracts.
  • Follow up with subscribers to answer their questions or confirm if their concerns can be addressed.
  • Identify reasons for customer dissatisfaction with products and provide prompt resolution to retain the customer.
  • Up-sell Sparklight products including digital, HSD, and phone services to existing business customers.
  • Collaborate with other departments to answer customer questions or resolve their concerns.
  • Take on other duties as needed to help drive the company's Purpose, fulfill Brand Principles, and abide by Organization's Values.
