About The Position

This role supports the Sutter Health Central Coast market. The Business Relations Specialist III drives revenue to Sutter Health and its regional affiliates in a manner that achieves the organization's strategic goals and objectives. This involves developing relationships with physicians and area employers to develop and grow business. The specialist educates area physicians about the capabilities provided by Sutter Health specialists and hospitals, and influences area employers to engage them in preventive health, influence their managed care decisions, and choose occupational medicine providers. A key part of the role is identifying target physicians that would serve as referral and revenue drivers to facilities and specialty physicians.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma)
  • 5 years recent relevant experience
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with audiences across all areas and levels within Sutter Health as well as external organizations
  • Ability to set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities and prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner
  • Verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups such as: executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Ability to make presentations to persuade others to accept a specific opinion or action, or to provide information and instruction
  • Demonstrated ability to encourage individuals either in a one-to-one or small group situation to establish rapport and gain trust or to listen perceptively and convey awareness
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams committed to carrying out initiatives in environments that may be resistant to change
  • Focus on customer service that informs all actions and decisions
  • Ability to maintain a positive relationship with the community and professionals while representing a large healthcare organization
