About The Position

The Senior Warranty Business Process Consultant supports the operational, financial, and data needs of Warranty Service Contract programs. This role partners closely with underwriting, finance, clients, and third‑party administrators to ensure accurate data management, reporting, and program execution. The Senior Consultant supports client implementations, coordinates day‑to-day vendor interactions, and contributes subject matter expertise to the enhancement of warranty business processes. This role will work from our offices in Chicago, typically 2 – 3 days per week.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of the insurance industry; warranty or service contract experience preferred.
  • Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage complex data and operational issues.
  • Background in accounting and/or FP&A, particularly in financial reporting, reconciliation, or analysis, is a strong asset.
  • Experience leading client implementations and cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Strong business process analysis and documentation skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills required; experience with tools such as Alteryx, Workday, GCP, ThoughtSpot, or Looker is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into operational solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Typically, a minimum of four to six years of related work experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage processing, reporting, and analytics for Warranty Service Contract business, including loading contract sales and claims data, validating results, and resolving data issues with clients and vendors.
  • Review monthly service contract accounting feeds and distribute reports to internal partners for analysis and reconciliation.
  • Partner with warranty account managers to maintain contract systems, supporting pricing updates, earnings changes, new clients, and new products.
  • Ensure warranty data meets business, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and deliver reports supporting underwriting decisions, program management, profitability reviews, and regulatory inquiries.
  • Provide operational support for invoicing, receivables, claim funding, premium and claim processing, and settlement activities.
  • Support client implementation efforts, including leading requirements gathering discussions, system setup, testing, and go‑live support for new and existing programs.
  • Work with internal accounting and finance teams to support the establishment and maintenance domestic and international financial feeds and settlement processes.
  • Coordinates day-to-day interactions with the warranty data management vendor, including issue tracking, prioritization, escalation, and resolution.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on warranty systems, data, and processes, providing functional guidance and support to internal stakeholders.
