About The Position

This role focuses on analyzing and improving operational processes within an agency, specifically leveraging knowledge of CISA's role in securing U.S. Critical Infrastructure. The specialist will conduct gap assessments, design operating models, and propose strategies to enhance processes, procedures, and tools. The position also involves benchmarking organizational culture, analyzing performance drivers for critical processes, and recommending a future state operating model to optimize performance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience providing operational gaps assessments with recommendations to design high-level operating models utilizing knowledge and understanding of CISA as National Coordinator for Security and Resilience of U.S. Critical Infrastructure.
• Effectively analyze CISA’s operational environment, leveraging recent events, to rapidly assess the current state, identify recommended areas for improvement and propose actionable strategies to enhance process, procedure, and tools across the organization.
• Ability to support the agency to benchmark its culture against other public and private organizations to identify strengths and opportunities.
• Proactively provide analysis and recommendations on the primary issues driving agency performance for critical cross-cutting processes (e.g., operational incident reporting, sector engagement) and a holistic understanding of the current culture and the actions and behaviors that underpin it.
• Capable of recommending a high-level design of the future state operating model that will best support peak performance across the organization.
• Bachelor's Degree
• DHS Suitability Clearance
