About The Position

This position is part of ONEOK's Innovative Solutions and Optimization group and serves as a Business Process Professional supporting ONEOK’s Field Operations. The role partners closely with Field Operations stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities, document operational requirements, support technology adoption and develop practical solutions that improve efficiency, consistency and user experience across field operations. The ideal candidate will bring project development and project management experience, excellent collaboration and facilitation skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a passion for solving complex business challenges through process optimization and technology enablement. Success in this role requires the ability to quickly understand business processes, data relationships, and system interactions while building alignment across a broad range of stakeholders. The successful candidate will work with various operations teams to develop business cases, work collaboratively, and provide support on process and technology solutions that support operational objectives. A strong understanding of Field Operations activities, combined with a structured, step-by-step approach to problem solving, will be critical to delivering scalable solutions and measurable business value. This role helps ensure Field Operations processes, technologies, and data are aligned to support safe, reliable, compliant, and efficient operations while advancing ONEOK's continuous improvement objectives. The position regularly interacts with frontline employees, technical subject matter experts, managers, and senior leaders, requiring strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills to drive successful outcomes. This position is eligible for remote work in one of the following states: Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Wisconsin, or Wyoming. This position will require some travel for office meetings, as needed, to our corporate office in Tulsa, OK.

Requirements

  • Experience in business or process analysis and/or project management.
  • Experience researching, analyzing and composing reports, procedures, forms and correspondence.

Nice To Haves

  • Field Operations support experience preferred, including experience working with operations personnel, field administrative teams, control center personnel, maintenance teams, measurement, construction, asset integrity, safety, environmental, compliance or related operational support functions.
  • Experience translating field operations needs into business requirements, process documentation, system enhancement requests, reports, dashboards, procedures or training materials preferred.
  • Knowledge of: Field Operations processes, field work execution, operational support workflows and the systems or tools used to support safe, reliable and efficient operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of: operational data, reporting, work management, asset information, compliance documentation and business processes that support field operations decision-making preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support and execute Business Process Optimization functions, including project coordination, business process mapping and review, product backlog management, and business intelligence/data governance initiatives.
  • Facilitate implementation, with limited supervision, of process or technology improvement opportunities by managing BPO projects including but not limited to: collaborate with project sponsors and project teams to define scope, develop project schedules and gather business requirements, establish project team roles and responsibilities, monitor progress for delivery of tasks, develop and execute project communication plans.
  • Collaborate with business partners to identify, document and develop requirements on new backlog tasks for existing software applications. Participate in roadmap development.
  • Collaborate with Field Operations teams to understand daily processes, pain points, system needs, and opportunities to improve work execution, communication, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Evaluate Field Operations workflows and technology solutions to identify standardization opportunities, reduce manual effort, and improve data quality.
  • Use analysis of business process, user requirements and technology capabilities to identify reporting solutions to enhance capabilities.
  • Develop strong working relationships with business partners, IT stakeholders, consultants and vendors, to achieve success on initiatives.
  • Collaborate with management, other departments or segments, customers and vendors to streamline internal processes and support implementation of technology solutions.
  • Support implementation and change management activities for Field Operations solutions, including stakeholder engagement, user acceptance testing, training coordination, communication planning and post-implementation support.
