For more information, visit http://www.worldbank.org/ The WBG Controllers (CTR) Vice Presidency is responsible for all aspects of the financial reporting and internal control framework for The World Bank Group (WBG), and the extensive Trust Fund/Partnership portfolio of the WBG entities. It supports an appropriate fiduciary control framework and administering disbursements for Bank lending and leads the client service function for the WB’s corporate expenses. Organizationally, CTR is comprised of three departments: (1) Corporate Accounting and Reporting (2) Loan and Financing Operations and (3) Financial Operations. In CTR, our mandate supports both internal and external clients while we focus on delivery, optimization, impact, and people & culture. CTRST: Within CTR, CTRST– Solutions and Transformation Division works across the Controller VPU and departments in the following areas: program management, change management, intelligent automation, blockchain hub, data modernization, advanced analytics, data governance, and process improvement. These initiatives aim to boost productivity and efficiency in delivering work programs, while maintaining well-managed data that supports self-service and analytical tools. CTRST is seeking an experienced Business Process Officer to join the Transformation Office to support the delivery of key transformation projects and governance programs. The selected candidate is expected to support the Team Lead to i) Hit the ground running to manage established business technology governance programs including AIP and BTSC, ii) Support CTR Project Aria coordination through to a successful go-live iii) Coordinate and deliver a small portfolio of quick time to value AI projects and develop robust governance iv) Ensure effective stakeholder management, communications and change management across all projects v) Be a key contributor to Communities of Practice for your domains. How your contributions will help us achieve our goals: As Business Process Officer, you will manage and support a portfolio of CTRST transformation projects and governance programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and meeting the agreed objectives and outcomes. The ideal candidate will be well organized, solution-oriented, excellent at stakeholder management and communications, with a strong focus on delivery, to drive deliverables through to successful conclusion and outcomes. As a Business Process Officer, you will report to the Team Lead in the CTRST Transformation Office:

Requirements

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant discipline is required
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience especially in the Banking and Financial Sector Industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, cross-functional transformation projects in complex organizational environments e.g. ERP transformation.
  • Experience managing a range of digital transformation projects, including Automation, Analytics, and AI projects.
  • Worked with different project delivery methodologies including Agile.
  • Experience delivering business requirements analysis, system design and development, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to a high standard.
  • Strong project governance and project delivery skills; ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously and drive tasks through to successful conclusion.
  • Proficiency in change management frameworks and methodologies
  • Strong client orientation; demonstrated ability to work in multicultural, cross-functional, and globally dispersed teams. A excellent team player.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills ensuring that all stakeholder and client expectations are proactively managed throughout all stages of delivery.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
  • PROSCI Change Management Certification is preferred
  • Good knowledge of different CTR business domains and processes is an asset (e.g. Trust Funds, Corporate Reporting, Accounting, Loans).
  • Experience of managing production support environments and solution governance is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAP ECC / S/4HANA, ITS governance processes, and enterprise technology delivery environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the VPU Annual Investment Planning (AIP) process under the supervision of the Program Lead, including coordination of AIP requests and review of business case, to ensure submissions are aligned with VPU priorities.
  • Support the Business Technology Steering Committee (BTSC) secretariat, including agenda and preparing materials and meeting minutes, ensuring key decisions and action items are tracked and completed.
  • Support coordination of Project Aria activities as it relates to CTR, including timely status reporting to management, issue monitoring, and resource tracking, working closely with Project Aria dedicated team, CTR Managers and SMEs.
  • Coordinate delivery of a portfolio of AI projects, under the direction of the AI Team Lead, collaborating with divisions to identify and deliver solutions that align with VPU priorities, achieve quick time to value, and solve real business needs and pain points.
  • Contribute to the development of a governance framework for emerging technologies, such as AI, to ensure responsible and effective adoption. Help foster a community of practice for AI and Innovation, promoting knowledge-sharing and building a pipeline of use cases.
  • For all projects under your purview, develop and deliver clear, structured, on-time status reports and presentations for project leadership to communicate progress and convey key messages effectively. Develop and maintain project plans, change management plans, proactively track progress and risks, and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
  • Establish strong relationships and communication with ITS focal points to support in delivery of key projects including the investment planning cycle.
  • Manage and support other CTRST transformation projects and initiatives as required, aligned with changing business priorities and demands.
  • As a leading CTRST project and change management practitioner, contribute to communities of practice, standards and methodologies.
  • Coach and mentor team members to develop technical skills and knowledge.
