Business Process & Continuous Improvement Lead

FormFactor Inc.USA - Remote - TX, TX

About The Position

FormFactor is seeking an experienced Business Process & Continuous Improvement Lead to accelerate high-priority cross-functional transformation initiatives. As a core member of FORM Enterprise Transformation Group, this role will work alongside business leaders and subject-matter experts to map current-state processes, identify root causes, design scalable future-state workflows, implement improvements, and embed the ownership and operating mechanisms required to sustain results. This is a hands-on delivery role, not a documentation or facilitation-only position. The successful candidate will combine structured problem solving, process design, controls, change adoption, data fluency, and implementation discipline across people, process, data, decision rights, operating cadence, and enabling technology.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in business process improvement, operational excellence, business transformation, industrial engineering, internal controls, quality, supply chain, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated success mapping and redesigning complex end-to-end processes across multiple functions.
  • Hands-on experience implementing process changes, not only recommending or documenting them.
  • Strong facilitation, structured problem-solving, analytical, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Working knowledge of process governance, decision rights, controls, metrics, change adoption, and sustainment.
  • Semiconductor, semiconductor equipment, electronics, capital equipment, high-mix manufacturing, service, or logistics experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt, BPM, change-management, internal-controls, or related certification.
  • Experience with SIOP / IBP, capacity planning, manufacturing processes, supply chain, service operations, or technology transfer.
  • Experience using process-mining, workflow, analytics, automation, modeling, or visualization tools.
  • Experience working with ERP, CRM, planning, manufacturing execution, data warehouse, or reporting platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead current-state discovery through interviews, process walkthroughs, data review, gemba observation, and end-to-end process mapping.
  • Identify root causes, bottlenecks, rework, unclear ownership, control gaps, data issues, and cross-functional handoff breakdowns.
  • Design practical and scalable future-state processes aligned with business outcomes.
  • Define roles, decision rights, handoffs, standard work, controls, operating cadence, escalation paths, and performance measures.
  • Develop sequenced implementation roadmaps that balance urgency, business continuity, and long-term scalability.
  • Plan and facilitate focused improvement workshops, root-cause reviews, kaizens, and design sessions.
  • Apply FormFactor 4C, Lean, Six Sigma, value-stream mapping, risk analysis, process design, and other methods selectively based on the problem.
  • Convert workshop outputs into implementable actions, owners, milestones, measures, and follow-through mechanisms.
  • Work directly with business teams to implement new workflows, management systems, controls, documentation, and routines.
  • Lead pilots and rapid prototypes, measure results, and refine solutions before scale-up.
  • Establish clear process ownership, control points, decision rights, escalation thresholds, and accountability mechanisms.
  • Ensure improvements include appropriate documentation, training, communication, adoption, and reinforcement plans.
  • Partner with the transformation analyst and functional data owners to establish dashboards and operating reviews.
  • Assess whether revised processes are operating as designed and coordinate corrective action where outcomes fall short.
  • Prepare structured handoff packages that transfer ownership, measures, standard work, and ongoing improvement responsibility to the function.
  • Partner with business and operational subject-matter experts who provide domain knowledge and ultimately own adoption.
  • Collaborate with Finance, IT, data, operations, commercial, quality, supply chain, and other functions to integrate process, data, controls, and technology requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear process and functional requirements for technical teams.
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels and surface unresolved barriers and decisions promptly.
  • Build reusable process-improvement methods, standards, and lessons learned.
