About The Position

The Business Planning Analyst provides critical support to the Business Planning Manager by assisting with data analysis, pricing, forecasting, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. In this role you will support Ball’s mission to ‘Color the World’ by engaging with business leaders in sales, supply chain, and finance to influence short- and long-term decisions. This position is ideal for someone eager to develop strong analytical and business operations skills in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Economics, or a business related field.
  • 2-5 years of prior experience in data analytics, business analysis, or planning.
  • Mastery in Excel and experience with large data sets and models.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP or similar system) preferred and Power BI required.
  • Manage multiple data-driven projects to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with organizational skills.
  • Exposure to project management with cross-functional team environments.
  • Basic understanding of statistical analysis or data modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new software tools and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Pull, cleanse, and analyze data utilizing Power BI and Excel to support pricing, forecasting, and business planning decisions.
  • Visualize data and prepare clear, accurate reports for management.
  • Generate and maintain regular reports and metrics to track demand planning performance, and inventory turnover.
  • Support the implementation of Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Participate in demand forecasting exercises, including data gathering, preliminary and final forecast creation, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Monitor and adjust inventory levels to optimize stock availability and minimize excess inventory costs.
  • Assist with late season adjustments and storage forecasting, collaborating with production planners and other teams.
  • Work with sales, production, product development, and other departments to gather market intelligence and incorporate it into planning processes.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to align planning activities and ensure effective communication.
  • Support the setup and maintenance of new SKUs in SAP, ensuring data integrity and correct pricing.
