About The Position

Develop and maintain weekly and monthly sales performance reports, including POS scorecards, ladder plans, and price tracking dashboards. Support the measurement of promotions, pricing, and markdown effectiveness, recommending actions to optimize profitability and sell-through. Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems and reporting platforms; proactively identify and resolve data discrepancies. Analyze and recap sales results for internal stakeholders and executive leadership, providing actionable insights and concise summaries. Analyze Target POS data to identify performance drivers, emerging trends, and areas for improvement. Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to drive share, pricing optimization, and new item performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • 3 years of relevant business or analytical experience
  • Proven ability to translate business challenges into analytical frameworks and turn data into actionable insights
  • Experience working with retail POS systems and data sets
  • Experience automating processes and creating efficiencies in reporting, planning, and execution
  • Comfortable presenting analysis and recommendations to cross-functional and customer teams
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Excel (advanced functions, VBA/macros), PowerPoint, and Access
  • Working knowledge of data visualization and data modeling best practices
  • Experience integrating multiple data sources for cohesive analytics
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with intellectual curiosity and attention to detail
  • Communication: Effective communicator and storyteller - able to simplify complex analyses into clear, actionable takeaways

  • Experience working with retail POS systems and data sets; familiarity with Target's Partners Online portal and VendorIQ (Greenfield) preferred
