About The Position

GUES is seeking a Business Partnership Coordinator to serve as the operational lead for AMEP.This individual will coordinate all partnership activities, manage employer engagement, support youth and workforce pipelines, and ensure AMEP meets its annual performance metrics and funder requirements.This role is ideal for a relationship-driven, highly organized professional who thrives at the intersection of manufacturing, workforce development, education, and community partnership. The Coordinator will work closely with GUES leadership, United Way, Capital Workforce Partners (CWP), AMEP employer leaders, and regional partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in workforce development, manufacturing partnerships, employer engagement, or sector based initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success in convening diverse stakeholders and facilitating collaborative initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing workforce needs and regional labor market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Proficiency with data systems, dashboards (Power BI preferred), and outcome reporting.
  • Comfort with public speaking, event coordination, and employer-facing engagement.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with youth pipelines, K12 partnerships, or STEAM programming is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Convening & Engagement Plan and facilitate quarterly AMEP convenings, biweekly leadership meetings, and working group sessions.
  • Coordinate with United Way and other RSP conveners to avoid scheduling conflicts.
  • Support employer-led action teams aligned with the National Fund for Workforce Solutions’ Job Design Framework.
  • Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, educators, workforce boards, and community partners.
  • Conduct direct outreach to manufacturers, schools, CBOs, and higher education institutions to expand AMEP membership.
  • Drive annual membership growth (+5% minimum).
  • Support employer recruitment for hiring events, mentorship programs, STEAM initiatives, and job quality projects.
  • Coordinate mentorship, STEAM, K12 outreach, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Support youth and student pipeline development, including connections to RiverTech and Goodwin University programs.
  • Collaborate with CWP on hiring events, job fairs, and employer grant navigation.
  • Manage AMEP’s website, social media presence, and marketing campaigns.
  • Highlight employer partners, job opportunities, and success stories.
  • Develop outreach materials and maintain consistent branding and messaging.
  • Coordinate AMEP sponsored events including: o Regional hiring events (+1 annually) o Networking events (+2 annually) o Trade shows and manufacturing month activities o Employer-focused trainings on job quality, job design, and retention strategies o Ensure events meet participation and impact targets.
  • Collect, analyze, and report quarterly outcome data within required timelines.
  • Maintain and update AMEP’s Power BI data dashboard.
  • Track KPIs including job placements, retention, employer engagement, youth participation, and job quality improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with United Way and funder reporting requirements.
  • Support financial reporting, grant alignment, and administrative processes.
  • Maintain clear communication channels with GUES leadership, United Way, CWP, and AMEP employer leaders.
  • Contribute to annual work plan development and quarterly performance reviews.
