About The Position

The Business Partner, People Operations assists in managing the day-to-day operations of the People Operations department and supports the full scope of human resources activities. This role is responsible for full-cycle recruitment, managing recruitment outreach, onboarding new employees, maintaining HR records, partnering with managers on employee performance and relations, assisting with training development and implementation, tracking HR metrics, developing and maintaining job descriptions, assisting with employee separations, and providing general administrative support. The role also involves monitoring the HR inbox, responding to information requests, reviewing payroll data for accuracy and compliance, helping to shape corporate culture, serving as a point of contact for employees on HR policies, supporting regulatory compliance, identifying and presenting HR best practices, and leading or supporting HR projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and three to five years’ human resources experience, including at least two years of recruitment and payroll experience
  • 1-2 years’ experience working on Employee Relations
  • Strong understanding of State and Federal requirements and regulations
  • Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook PowerPoint
  • Experience working with a multi-state employer
  • Strong commitment to excellent internal and external customer service
  • Ability to effectively apply knowledge of human resources law and policies
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong employee relations experience
  • Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations, and laws
  • Demonstrated understanding of business processes and how to change and improve them to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ability to effectively work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and sometimes ambiguous environment

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for full-cycle recruitment for defined job groups
  • Manage recruitment outreach (e.g. scholarship programs, career fairs, internships)
  • Manage new employee onboarding and orientation
  • Maintain Human Resources records, ensuring documents are current, accurate, confidential, and in compliance with company policies and government regulations
  • Partner with managers on coaching employees regarding performance
  • Assist with employee relations’ issues and counseling
  • Assist with developing, implementing, and facilitating training
  • Track HR metrics
  • Partner with managers to develop and maintain accurate job descriptions for all positions
  • Assist with employee separations
  • Provide general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, forms, and reports; processing incoming mail; screening and routing phone calls
  • Monitor the Human Resources inbox and respond to and/or distribute messages, as appropriate
  • Respond to requests for information
  • Review and audit payroll data for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and ensure compliance with payroll policies and regulatory requirements before processing payroll
  • Help shape the corporate culture through HR function
  • Serve as initial point-of-contact and resource for employees on HR policies, programs, and processes
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local regulations concerning employment
  • Identify, research, and present best practices within HR function, to continually enhance HR credibility and performance
  • Lead or support HR projects as assigned
