About The Position

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, at Spirit’s Defense Business Unit (“Spirit Defense”). Spirit Defense is an independent supplier to the defense and space marketplace. Through innovative engineering and rapid prototyping excellence, Spirit Defense provides the capabilities, technologies and support customers need to succeed in their missions. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Wichita, KS location.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of business operations or related experience
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access (for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship)
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Mid-Level (Level 3): 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience working in business operations, headcount charts and reports, engineering/engineering process management, document control, purchase orders, planning, and/or financials
  • Knowledge of SAP, PowerBI, Tableau, and/or Maximo
  • Experience mining large data sets and analyzing critical financial documents
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office products
  • Ability to establish a project budget
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present data to upper level managers

Responsibilities

  • Plans, commits, and controls the deployment of resources in response to customer, program, and business requirements
  • Directs the development, integration, implementation, and management of new or revised programs, plans, strategies, or processes
  • Authorizes changes to work statements using a formal directive system
  • Develops control systems, maintains status information of program and customer commitments, and monitors compliance to plan
  • Interfaces with engineering management to provide leadership and coordination
  • Assists with cost budgetary estimates, non-recurring and recuring costs, and tracking
  • Headcount forecasting and justification to meet customer requirements
  • Develops facilities plans to implement and support customer and contract schedules and interfaces with company organizations, potentially government agencies, and suppliers to meet and optimize company business requirements along with supporting schedules, locations, and rearrangements
  • Communicates and collaborates with stakeholders to present recommendations, proposals and solutions
