About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Business Operations Manager to join the Fabrication Team (FSCA Business Unit) located in Orangeburg, South Carolina on 1st Shift. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration. Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in program management, project management, and/or business operations
  • 5+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical aerospace manufacturing environment/company
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience with Program Management Best Practices (PMBP)
  • Experience creating and presenting materials to leadership

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees performing business management activities in the area of Business Operations.
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Monitors and adjusts program or business unit work statement capacity.
  • Reviews management system execution, makes appropriate adjustments.
