About The Position

Prelim is growing rapidly and is seeking its first Business Operations hire to build the operational infrastructure for the company. This role will be responsible for creating and managing systems that track delivery, team load, and operational rhythm. The position will also manage the technical account management team, coordinate staffing and projects, and handle vendor and logistics management. This is a unique opportunity to establish operational processes from the ground up in a fast-growing startup environment.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience spanning delivery leadership and business operations.
  • Previous leadership role at a B2B software company or a smaller group in a larger tech company.
  • Direct experience running complex enterprise implementations or owning technical accounts.
  • Strong writing and communication skills to create clear and concise operational documentation, staffing plans, and status rhythms.
  • Relentlessly organized with the ability to add useful structure without being bureaucratic.
  • Direct and unafraid communication style, capable of providing feedback to leads and founders.
  • Client-facing communication experience is trusted by teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in fintech or selling into banks.
  • Familiarity with tools like Linear, Notion, Pylon, Mixpanel.
  • Experience supporting a technical team (engineering, design, implementations).

Responsibilities

  • Build and run lightweight systems to provide leadership with a weekly view of work allocation, team load, and delivery risk across product and implementations.
  • Manage the company's two technical account managers, including regular 1:1s, goal tracking, feedback, and development.
  • Oversee staffing and project coordination, ensuring smooth handoffs when projects need reassignment or team members are out of office.
  • Maintain a clear map of responsibilities and ensure every client concern has an owner, a plan, and a follow-up date.
  • Establish and maintain an operational rhythm, including structured lead syncs, scheduled cycle kickoffs, and tracking of meeting commitments.
  • Collaborate with People Operations on vendor management, including software contracts, offsites, and team meetups.
