About The Position

This role is an apprenticeship in running a company, working directly alongside the CEO & Founder. The associate will be brought into the core operations of the company, observing decision-making processes and gradually taking on more responsibility. The goal is for the individual to learn how to run the company from the inside, eventually taking significant weight off the CEO's plate and acting as a trusted partner. Stemwave is a self-funded, fast-growing medical device company with 100 employees based in Seaport, Boston.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills: ability to convey ideas clearly and build strong working relationships.
Relentless work ethic: bringing intensity and consistency without needing to be pushed.
High processing speed: ability to think and move fast, absorbing information quickly and turning it into action.
Strong autonomous decision-making: comfort making calls independently and standing behind them.
Fast learning curve: ability to absorb quickly, take feedback well, and continuously improve.
Experience operating as a generalist in a startup or fast-moving environment is a potential fit.
Exceptional and hungry to grow into a much larger role.

Responsibilities

Own projects end-to-end, driving them to completion and providing clear weekly updates on progress, blockers, and next steps.
Develop the judgment to make good calls on management questions, tradeoffs, and strategic initiatives when the CEO is unavailable, through daily proximity to decision-making.
Run the company's operating rhythm, including monthly all-hands and leadership meetings, ensuring organizational cadence and follow-through.
Execute independently on projects with little direction as trust is earned, becoming a genuine thought partner to the CEO.
Embed with different departments during the first month to understand the organization's operations and gather information.
