About The Position

The Business Operations Analyst supports the Digital and Business Operations team's mission by owning and optimizing core business systems, dashboards, reporting, and content platforms. These systems provide clear, reliable visibility into performance and enable efficient, compliant execution across GM Defense programs. The role involves managing dashboards and reporting, serving as product owner for AAM and eDepot, leading FedZone business testing, process development, and user training, and supporting Box administration to ensure teams have the necessary information and tools to meet customer commitments while embodying GM Behaviors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Candidate must either be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) or a non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required export control authorization.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience working with complex, multi-system data.
  • Advanced proficiency with Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint or equivalent tools to build workflow automation, forms, and lightweight applications.
  • Advanced proficiency with Power BI (or comparable BI tools) for developing interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret trends, identify data quality issues, and develop pragmatic recommendations.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document and present complex information to non-technical audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data/Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience working in the defense industry or on government programs.
  • Background application management and application lifecycle planning.
  • Prior involvement in continuous improvement or Kaizen initiatives, especially those focused on analytics, workflow optimization, or process digitization.

Responsibilities

  • Own and optimize dashboards, reports, and related business systems to provide clear, reliable visibility into performance across GM Defense programs.
  • Serve as product owner for AAM & eDepot, driving requirements, enhancements, and user adoption to support efficient, compliant execution.
  • Lead FedZone business testing, process development, and user training so teams can operate effectively and confidently within the environment.
  • Support Box administration and structure to ensure teams have secure, organized access to the content and tools they need to meet customer commitments while embodying GM Behaviors.
