The Business Office Manager will be responsible for the financial operations of the facility, ensuring accurate billing, timely payments, and compliance with all relevant guidelines.

Requirements

• Experience in the billing role of a nursing home is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prior leadership/supervisor experience strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree from an accredited college with a specialization in business or accounting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess accuracy of claims and perform corrections to ensure timely payments.
• Ensure accurate documentation and timely filing/follow-up to maximize reimbursement.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, and payer-specific billing guidelines.
• Prepare month-end financial reports.
• Complete account reconciliations.
• Process refunds and adjustments.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Establish and maintain a system of financial recordkeeping, including ledgers, recording payments, writing receipts, posting cash journals, and preparing bank deposits.
• Monitor, plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the facility’s accounting functions under the supervision of the Administrator.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income/expense reports.
• Prepare financial and statistical reports as required.
