About The Position

The Business Office Manager is a key part of the organization. The person in this role will maintain accounts receivable and daily census records and reports, and monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as documentation for balance sheets, profit and loss statements, various tax returns, and cost reimbursements.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years bookkeeping experience required
  • High school diploma required
  • Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility
  • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, which include a mental and physical examination
  • Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met
  • Pass background, CAPs and pose no direct threat to the health or safety of individuals in the workplace

Responsibilities

  • Assist Executive Director with development of annual administrative budget
  • Keep financial records current
  • Expected to be available after hours for emergency situations
  • Supply requested information to the owner, President/CEO, accounting firms, auditors, etc.
  • Prepare accounting reports
  • Collect accounts receivable and prevent past due accounts
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports and summaries (as needed)
  • Work with third-party payers
  • Provide information to auditors annually
  • Documentation, reporting, and analysis
  • Update census report daily
  • Attend in-service education within the community
  • Maintain professional confidentiality
  • Act as a backup for payroll processing and hiring aspects
  • Other duties as assigned
