About The Position

The Business Office Director is responsible for managing the business, accounting, and finance functions in support of the community, as well as the human resources aspects such as payroll, recruitment, and onboarding. This role involves supervising, developing, and training the concierge team. The Director will track expenses and control costs within budgetary guidelines and assist with departmental budget preparation. They will also participate in surveys and inspections made by government agencies, process bi-weekly payroll and wage/tax reporting, and manage the staffing strategy, consulting with management on the overall staffing plan and turnover. Additionally, the role assists in the communication and administration of Associate benefits, develops and conducts New Associate Orientations and mandatory in-service training, and manages performance review processes. Maintaining and updating Quality Compliance checks for HR (Associate records) is also a key responsibility. The Director will handle general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting functions, creating timely and accurate financial statements. This includes managing monthly bank reconciliation, petty cash reconciliation, daily deposits, and assisting in the preparation of monthly and year-end tax reports.

Requirements

  • Combination of education and/or experience in a Senior Living environment
  • 3-4 years of experience in accounting/billing and business services
  • Knowledge and experience in Human Resources, specifically payroll, recruiting and onboarding
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Programs, Outlook, Yardi and Paychex
