Supports the Business Office Manager and the financial operations of the healthcare facility in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles; local, state and federal regulations, standards and established facility policies and procedures to achieve facility financial goals. This role involves assisting with planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the overall financial operation of the facility, identifying key performance financial indicators, and developing/implementing processes for billing, collections, accounts payable, patient trust, and general ledger functions. The position requires proficiency in various software, timely monthly billing, maintaining knowledge of financial software, and assisting with accounts receivables. It also involves understanding long term care insurance programs (Medicaid, Medicare Part A, B, and C, private insurance), coordinating pre-admission financial evaluations, and supporting budget development. The role emphasizes developing positive relationships, effective communication, customer service, and promoting teamwork and a culture of compliance and safety. Additional tasks include treating residents with dignity and respect, protecting resident rights, maintaining confidentiality, reporting noncompliance and allegations of abuse, and participating in emergency drills and training.
