About The Position
Mercer Advisors is seeking a detail-oriented, success-driven Business Management Accounting Supervisor to join its comprehensive financial services team in Encino, California. The firm provides business management, tax preparation and planning, accounting and bookkeeping, wealth management, and financial planning services, including support for high-profile creative talent. The role supervises multiple teams of account managers and supports clients through financial statement review and preparation, financial reporting, tax return preparation, tax projections, and ongoing client service. The position offers a supportive, team-oriented professional office environment and opportunities to learn and grow. The work arrangement is hybrid, with more time expected in the office during the first 90 days for training. Base pay is $119,000–$140,000, with eligibility for incentive compensation.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of supervisory experience.
- 3–5 years of experience preparing income tax returns.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Prior work experience in a CPA firm or business management firm.
- Ability to apply critical thinking in daily tasks.
- Ability to problem-solve.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work within tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- CPA or CFP license.
- Knowledge of Datafaction and AgilLink.
- Knowledge of CCH Access Tax.
- Knowledge of BNA Income Tax Planner and QuickBooks.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with multiple desk teams of Business Management Account Managers and Assistant Bookkeepers.
- Review, analyze, and prepare financial statements.
- Prepare various financial reports.
- Prepare individual and business income tax returns.
- Prepare tax projections for individuals and business entities.
- Work within tight deadlines.
- Maintain working relationships with clients.
- Supervise multiple teams of account managers.
