About The Position

Seeking Surgical Services Business Manager! Full-time, Days Baptist Health Floyd Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area The Business Manager provides leadership and oversight of the business, financial, and administrative operations of Surgical Services. This position partners closely with nurse managers, physicians, finance, supply chain, revenue cycle, and executive leadership to optimize operational efficiency, financial performance, resource utilization, and patient access across inpatient and outpatient procedural services. The Business Manager is responsible for department budget management, financial reporting, business analytics, revenue integrity, purchasing, contract administration, administrative support functions, business office operations, and continuous process improvement. The position assists leadership in the development and monitoring of staffing/FTE, operating, and capital budgets; provides financial and operational analysis to support resource planning and cost-containment initiatives; oversees charge reconciliation and revenue integrity processes; coordinates new product evaluation and implementation with physicians, Supply Chain, and Pharmacy; and supports business planning for new technologies and service line growth. The Business Manager serves as the primary business resource for Surgical Services, providing the financial and operational insight needed to support informed decision-making while allowing clinical leaders to focus on patient care delivery, quality, safety, workforce management, and daily clinical operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three (3) years of progressive healthcare business, finance, or operational leadership experience
  • Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, productivity management, and business analytics
  • Proficient in all clinical skills related to department
  • Prior supervisory experience

  • Master’s degree in business administration (MBA), Healthcare Administration (MHA), Healthcare Management, Finance, or Nursing (MSN)

Responsibilities
