About The Position

As a Business Analysis Manager at Capital One, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges. You'll team with world-class professionals to develop and test strategies that ultimately impact the lives of millions of our Retail Bank customers. In the retail bank we strive to have an industry leading Checking product that delivers the features and experiences our customers need. As we grow our Checking business we must ensure we are investing in the highest leverage Checking experiences that will maximize customer satisfaction and engagement. In this role you will focus on strategy and analytics to drive the feature priorities of the Checking portfolio, including doing segment level needs assessments, competitive analysis, and feature business cases. You will work cross-functionally with partners responsible for digital product development, marketing, and fraud to identify the best intent to realize our vision and develop go-to-market strategies to help launch this intent. You will take a hypothesis-driven analytical approach to support setting strategy, building business cases, testing outcomes, and measuring impact.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional experience performing analysis
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date: A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer engineering, Software engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)
  • A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

Nice To Haves

  • Previous consulting experience is a plus
  • Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in analysis
  • 2+ years of experience in financial services
  • 1+ year of experience in consulting
  • 2+ years of experience in people management

Responsibilities

  • Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory demands
  • Coaching and mentoring associates with a goal of developing and retaining talent at Capital One
  • Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various products; lead product level analytics
  • Lead direct-to-consumer marketing efforts for select features, and strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel. Build targeted insights to inform the design and development of new customer experiences, as well as breakthrough technology and concepts designed to deliver on new go-to-market strategies
  • Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements and execute against the product strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently
  • Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including: Product, Technology, Operations, Finance and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability
