The Business Manager – Industrial Solutions is responsible for driving growth and market expansion for BorgWarner’s new industrial solutions business in the US market. This role requires deep industrial knowledge, strategic vision, and the ability to increase customer diversity and penetrate new markets. Through the development and execution of targeted sales and business development strategies, you will play a pivotal role in driving our Industrial Solutions' success by achieving key business objectives and fostering strong relationships with our customers and partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred), Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development and sales within the industrial sector, specifically power generation and/or data centers.
  • Proven track record of market expansion, customer diversity initiatives, and strategic sales leadership.
  • Strong understanding of financial metrics as they relate to program and business performance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales and business development strategies for the US industrial solutions market.
  • Identify , pursue, and secure new market opportunities, partnerships, and diverse customer segments to drive revenue growth.
  • Expand BorgWarner’s presence in new and existing markets, with a focus on increasing customer diversity and market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry partners, and stakeholders.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions and product development.
  • Work closely with Market Research Team to id entify , anticipate and define strategies to deal with market trends.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and senior leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals and customer needs.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, KPIs, and new business metrics, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Apply advanced product knowledge, including design, specifications, applications, and system integration, to support customer solutions.
  • Drive a flexible, responsive culture able to adapt quickly to dynamic customer needs and market forces.
  • Champion BorgWarner’s values and sales career competencies, including priority setting, motivating others, process management, decision quality, ethics and values, customer focus, problem solving, drive for results, and business acumen.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Use data and analytics to identify opportunities for new business .
  • Understand key drivers of program financials.
  • Escalate and drive issues appropriately (both internally and externally) to secure the necessary support.
  • Apply a high level of product knowledge including design, specifications, applications, and system integration.
  • Ability to travel 50% or more, including regular visits to customer sites and industry events across the US.
