Strategic Insights - Customer experience for US and Canadian Markets is looking for a talented and experienced Business Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate thrives in a complex and dynamic environment with a high demand for strong analytics and reporting that support problem solving, organizational strategies and decision making. The candidate will help shape the “why” behind the data, trends and analytics while partnering closely with functional leaders and Global Payment Network business partners (i.e. Sales, Product, Pricing, Risk, etc.) to ensure holistic representation of business efforts, activities, results.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience performing analysis
• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date: A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer engineering, Software engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)
• A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

Nice To Haves

• Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in analysis
• 2+ years of experience in financial services
• 1+ year of experience in consulting
• 2+ years of experience in people management
• Previous consulting experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses and clear recommendations
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure data accuracy, shared definitions and coordinated business objectives
• Deliver executive level insights, narratives, and presentation
• Identify gaps and opportunities to generate business insights, dashboards, etc.
• Develop enablement programs to secure acceptance at merchants across the U.S.
• Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory demands
• Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements and execute against the product strategy.
• Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently
• Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including: IT, Sales, Operations, Finance and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability
