About The Position

Cargill's Animal Nutrition and Health business is seeking a Business Management Associate, an entry-level functional expert. This role is part of an intensive 12-18 month training program designed to develop expertise in core functions such as Strategic Pricing, Supply Chain, Commodity Merchandising, Feed Formulation, Sourcing, Strategic Marketing and Technology, or Data and Business Analytics. The program includes learning strategic and tactical business concepts within Cargill’s Animal Nutrition business, with evaluations focused on technical skills, business acumen, and leadership potential. Upon successful completion of the training, associates will move into a position within one of the core functions, with career paths leading to key individual contributor or supervisory roles within Cargill Animal Nutrition.

Requirements

  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited program in supply chain, operations, business, sales, finance, agribusiness, ag economics, business analytics, animal science or related degree; and graduating between December 2026 and August 2027.
  • Willing and able to relocate.
  • Ability to work optimally with individuals from a diverse set of backgrounds and cultures.
  • Ability to solve complex problems through collaboration, creativity and determination.
  • Strong analytical skills, aptitude to conceptualize big picture as well as dive into details.
  • Ability to take calculated risks and able to execute decisively.

  • Strong communication skills – written and oral.

Responsibilities

  • Complete cross-trainings in other functional areas.
  • Learn both strategic and tactical business concepts within Cargill’s Animal Nutrition business.
  • Be evaluated on technical skills, business acumen, and leadership actions and potential.
  • Move into a position within one of the core functions after demonstrating an understanding of the business.
  • Positively impact aspects of the business including Strategic Pricing, Supply Chain Strategy & Execution, Feed Formulation, Commodity Merchandising, Trading, Risk Management, and Sourcing, Strategic, Marketing, and Technology, Data and Business Analytics, Business Financials, Employee Engagement, Plant Operations, Customers and Business Culture.
