About The Position

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a Business Management Analyst to join their team in Buffalo, NY, supporting the Multidomain Sensing, Targeting and Survivability division. This position offers a 9/80 Schedule. The Business Management Analyst will provide support for Program Cost Control activities, interfacing with program managers, functional management, cost account managers (CAMs), and business managers to offer financial support and analysis. The role involves analyzing cost data to prepare financial reports for internal and external customers, tracking costs, material, and labor expenses to ensure program contracts perform within negotiated parameters. The Analyst will also support cost estimate development, invoicing, customer proposals, negotiations, and audits. Key responsibilities include forecasting financial statements, the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and the Labor Resource Plan, as well as identifying and mitigating program cost and schedule risks. The role also includes performing Earned Value Management (EVM) tasks such as developing the performance measurement baseline (PMB), forecasting the Estimate at Complete (EAC), controlling change management, and preparing status reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration such as Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, Management or Marketing, or a related field (e.g., Mathematics, Risk Management) from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of financial work experience.
  • Basic understanding of Government Compliance core concepts and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, chart generation, VBA macros, etc.).
  • US citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Earned Value Management (EVM) customer reporting, COBRA experience.
  • Experience with Government contracting, including across different types of contracts.
  • Experience with profit & loss reports on government programs.
  • Experience with cost analysis reports.
  • SAP, COGNOS, or similar ERP software experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in strong data mining and database management.
  • Professional experience in Aerospace & Defense, Financial Services, or Telecommunications.
  • Financial Forecasting, Cognos experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for Program Cost Control activities within the Multidomain Sensing, Targeting and Survivability division.
  • Interface with program managers, functional management, cost account managers (CAMs), and business managers to provide financial support and analysis.
  • Analyze cost data to prepare program financial reports for internal and external customers relative to program cost incurrence, material tracking and labor expenses.
  • Support cost estimate development, invoicing, customer proposals, negotiations, and various audits.
  • Forecast financial statements (Income Statement and Balance Sheet), the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and the Labor Resource Plan for their program.
  • Support identification and mitigation of program cost and schedule risks.
  • Perform Earned Value Management (EVM) tasks including developing the performance measurement baseline (PMB), forecasting the Estimate at Complete (EAC), controlling change management processes and preparing internal and external status reports.
