Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as an Business Management Analyst - Pricing and Estimating supporting the Material Estimating team for the Marine Logistics Support (MLS) organization. The preferred location for this on-site position is Sunnyvale, CA, but can also be staffed at our Woodland Hills, CA or San Diego, CA locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, etc.) or Business adjacent degree (Mathematics, Risk Management) from an accredited institution with a minimum of 2 years of financial work experience.
  • Basic understanding of Government Compliance
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, chart generation, VBA macros, etc.).
  • US citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior pricing or material estimating experience
  • Proposal experience within government contracting
  • Knowledge of FAR and DFAR
  • The ability to obtain a US Government Secret clearance

Responsibilities

  • Prepare material estimates for proposal submittals by understanding customer requirements through RFPs and other requests.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with proposal technical teams to develop the material estimating strategy, interfacing with Business Management, Global Supply Chain, Program Management, Program Office, and Pricing Organizations.
  • Select appropriate pricing methods (e.g., PO History, vendor quotes) for each item included in the proposal.
  • Work on multiple priority proposals concurrently.
  • Ensure compliance with Customer and FAR/DFAR Regulatory Requirements.
  • Ensure delivery schedule adherence.
  • Support proposal reviews with detailed Bills of Materials and Cost Estimating Relationships (CERs), including accompanying supporting data.
  • Prepare Bill of Material pricing templates to support proposal-specific pricing models.
  • Support risk and opportunity assessment, quantification, and analysis during the proposal estimating process.
  • Prepare material price analyses to support business unit and GSC leaders in decision-making as it pertains to specific pricing proposals.
  • Support fact-finding, government audits, customer negotiations, and certifications, while ensuring TINA compliance during all aspects of the proposal process.
  • Interact with various stakeholders, including but not limited to Global Supply Chain, Program Management, Pricing, and Business Management.
