About The Position

This position will support Comprehensive Capital Analysis & Review (CCAR) and Capital Risk Management teams focusing on risk identification in processes performing capital adequacy, regulatory capital requirements and capital planning activities. The role will be the initial point of escalation for existing and emerging risks, provide guidance and engage other risk management teams as needed to manage the risk and control inventory, risk artifacts, and reporting to reflect changes to the business line and support strategic projects.

Requirements

  • Typically more than 10 years of applicable experience.
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.

  • Advanced knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business, specifically Dodd Frank Reg Q and Reg YY.
  • Advanced understanding of the Capital measurement, including construction and defense of capital ratios, forecasting, and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with leaders in their assigned Line of Business, Risk/Compliance/Audit (RCA) Consultants, and other RCA Managers to, depending on the function, oversee the successful creation, implementation, and maintenance of an effective risk management framework.
  • Support strategic priorities to identify impacts to risk management frameworks and operational outcomes and design mitigations and controls prior to go live.
  • Lead projects and/or activities that ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Facilitate the identification of gaps and drive solutions that minimize losses resulting from inadequate internal processes, systems, or human errors.
  • Ensures the active identification, response and/or escalation of risks as appropriate.
  • May influence policies and procedures to maximize profit potential and minimize regulatory exposure.
  • Accountable for an effective partnership between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense.
