The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) seeks a Business Librarian to serve as liaison to the College of Business, the Department of Criminal Justice, and the Judicial Studies program. This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position. The incumbent will provide library instruction, research consultation, and collection development services for students and faculty in areas such as accounting, business administration, criminal justice, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, information systems, marketing, and management. Located in the Libraries’ Research and Instructional Services department, this tenure-track position will collaborate on initiatives related to outreach, research help services, scholarly communications support, assessment, and others. This position is part of the University of Nevada, Reno Libraries’ liaison librarian program that emphasizes engaging information literacy instruction, research support for both novice and advanced researchers, and active engagement in outreach activities to promote the Libraries and build campus partnerships. The Libraries value excellent oral and written communication skills, a strong service orientation, a willingness to experiment with new methods and technologies, an openness to change, and a collaborative approach to meeting user needs. This is a tenure-track faculty position, with 70% of the expectations related to librarianship, 15% to scholarly activity and publication, and 15% to service activities. The successful candidate for this position will have demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in library services.
