About The Position

The Business Lending Associate assists the Business Lending department with processing and administering business loans, ensuring servicing, reporting, and processing duties are completed in a timely manner. The associate responds to business members’ inquiries and helps deepen existing relationships by introducing members to other credit union services. This role has no direct reports. Duties and responsibilities may change at any time, with or without notice.

• Associate degree in business administration or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Two or more years of commercial loan servicing and processing experience.

• Commercial loan servicing and processing experience with a financial institution.

Responsibilities

• Order, review, and follow up on required information, including appraisals, credit reports, property and flood searches, state registrations, and UCC lien searches.
• Obtain supporting documentation needed to develop loan requests, including personal and corporate financial information, personal financial statements, resolutions, bylaws, and agreements.
• Perfect and satisfy liens, including vehicle titles, mortgages, lease and rent assignments, and UCC-1 filings with appropriate local and state agencies.
• Develop and maintain tracking systems for insurance, collateral, and required financial statements.
• Complete post-closing quality control reviews of business loan files and obtain missing documents.
• Prepare departmental monthly reports.
• Assist business members with inquiries and introduce them to other credit union services.
